The Northwest is the most beautiful and imposing region in Vietnam with highest mountains, deepest and steepest valleys. Day 1: Hanoi Arrival – Welcome Dinner (D)
Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be welcomed by our guide and transferred to your hotel. Free to explore on your own.In the evening, enjoy welcome dinner at a Vietnamese restaurant hosted by Premier Travel Vietnam. Overnight in Hanoi


Day 2: Hanoi – Mai Chau valley (B, L, D)
Your private transport and tour guide will pick you up at 8.00am for Mai Chau: a small town nestled in the midst of a lush valley and surrounded by emerald-green rice fields. Enjoy picturesque views of the scenic landscape, sown with pagodas and rural villages. Stop along the way to visit the Muong tribe and then at Thung Khe Pass for a spectacular view of Mai Chau Valley. Have an authentic lunch with a local family of the White Thai Tribe and enjoy some free time to acquaint yourself with the villagers. In the afternoon, trek through terraced rice paddies and small villages, discover the natural beauty of the valley and encounter the culture of the ethnic minority Thai people. In the evening enjoy a traditionally live dance and folk music performance. Overnight in the Longhouse (Home-stay).


Day 3: Mai Chau valley – Son La (B,D)
Good bye to Thai village in the morning, we continue our journey to conquer the most imposing mountain region in Vietnam. Firstly, we will stop to visit one village of the  H’Mong people with houses hidden in branches of plum and peach trees, and then we will have a chance to visit a very beautiful plateau of Moc Chau, which is very famous for green tea plantation and milk cake these two specialties of the district when enjoyed together would make a very nice taste: bitter but sweet. We will stop at Moc Chau to climb up the plantation on hills. And take photos of workers on the tea farm. We will arrive at Son La in the afternoon. Before checking in hotel we will visit one famous historical site in the center of the city. This site belongs to the system of hell prisons under the French Colony in Vietnam. Coming here, you will understand more about the truth as well as the cruelty of the Colonist system.After checking in hotel and having shower for refreshing, you will be picked up by our driver and tour guide for dinner. Overnight at hotel in Son La


Day 4: Son La – Dien Bien Phu (B,L,D)
After breakfast, get back on the road heading to Dien Bien Phu city. Today we will make more stop to villages, home to Black Thai people. Do not forget to bring with you some candy for the children in villages or maybe some small gifts for the host of the family we will visit on the way. They will never forget to invite you a cup of their traditional drink – rice wine. By the noon time, we will be on one of 4 biggest passes in Vietnam – Pha Din pass, have a break on the top of the pass to view the valleys and villages on the foot of mountains in the white of clouds and the green of nature. Our lunch will be set up in a local restaurant in one of the town on the way. We will reach Dien Bien Phu city in the afternoon, if time permits we will visit some historical sites in the battle field between Vietnam and France in 1954. Overnight at hotel in Dien Bien Phu


Day 5: Dien Bien Phu – Phong Tho (B, L)
Start our day at 8.00am with a visit to some War Relics such as: the A1 Hill, Dien Bien Phu Museum, and the Military Base. If you want, our tour guide can take you to a local market in the city center for a walk around.  Continue our drive along Nam Na River, get your camera ready all the time, you can snap many spectacular photos on this part of our journey. You will see the terrace fields in planting time, in harvest, or may be in preparation for a new crop with buffaloes working on the farm under the guidance of peasants. You may see the local people doing fishing in the river or cutting rice in the fields.Have lunch in Muong Lay town. The road becomes bumpier, but it is worthwhile because of the beauty of the scenery. Arrive at Phong Tho in the early afternoon, after a small rest at a family hotel, we will bike to discover some neighbor villages on riversides. Phong Tho is the most peaceful town in our adventurous path with very few people on the street, you will see more people in the villages nearby. Overnight at hotel in Phong Tho


Day 6: Phong Tho – Sapa (B, L)
The drive today is the highlight of this trip. The road is a bit bumpy at times but it compensates by the magnificent scenery of the surrounding fertile valley, pristine rivers and high mountains - the photographer’s dream. The 60-miles-drive to Sapa goes up the Chin Co pass and Tram Son pass, the highest pass in Vietnam with the view to Fansipan Peak – The roof of “Indochina”. En-route is the beautiful areas of Heaven’s Gate, Love Waterfall and Gold Stream.Nested in the spectacular valley near the border of China, Sapa is the premier destination of Northwest Vietnam. Built in 1922, it was the former hill station for the French colonists. Today, Sapa is a paradise for trekkers, thanks to its beautiful trekking routes, stunning rice terrace, colorful minority groups and the back drop of Fansipan Mountain. At 3143 meters or 10,311 feet above sea level, it is the roof of Indochina.You will reach Sapa in the afternoon and the rest of the day is free to explore on your own. Overnight at hotel in Sapa


Day 7: Sapa Trekking ( L)
After breakfast, start our trek from Sapa town down to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages. Views of the Muong Hoa Valley and magnificent surroundings of mountains and rice terrace fields can be seen from this road. Along the road, people from many ethnic minority groups (H’mong, Red Dao and Dzay) are likely to be met, and there are stalls along the way that serve tea, fruits and sweets.Soon after turning off the main road and taking a local path, we will arrive at the Black H’Mong village of Lao Chai, where you will experience the daily life of the villagers. Continue walking from Lao Chai to Ta Van village, where the Dzay hill tribes live. Here you take a rest and enjoy a delicious lunch with a local family. Afternoon, spend time visiting terrace field around-a chance to understand more about some farm works of the local , come back to the house before cooking time to learn more about ethnic foods and cuisines.

Note: - You just need to bring a small backpack along for 1 night stay only, the rest of the luggage you can leave at the hotel; we can pick them up in the next day. - Good trekking shoes, umbrella and raincoat will be necessary for our trek.Overnight in homestay.


Day 8: Sapa – Hanoi (B, L)
After breakfast at your homestay, say good bye to the Dzay family and drive back to Hanoi. On the way back, there is a good chance to have other views of the Northwest in Vietnam. The mountains, triple villages and sightseeing will bring you real and interesting experiences. Arrive in Hanoi in the late afternoon, check in your hotel in Hanoi. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.


Day 9: Hanoi Departure (B)
There is no activity today. Spend your free time at leisure till we transfer you to the airport for flight off.
